Interior Design Consultation Work…Mandi Maurer Gray

I had the opportunity to be the design consultant on a previous client’s living room remodel. The Carlson’s have great taste already, but wanted to touch base with me in order to finalize a few decisions on the design of their living room.

They live in a bungalow in Oak Park, IL. A quaint space with tons of character and charm. A great canvas to work from.

The couple are very DIY…Rachel making the drapery and constructing all of the upholstery herself. Rick, the maverick of handy men, built the firebox, installed the slate tile, built the moldings and picture framed mirrors, and re-located the electric in order for the gorgeous chandeliers to take the main stage in the carlson living room before 2space.

The photography of their child, Charlotte, was provided by Jason Gray, of Gray Photography in St. Louis, MO.

Enjoy the before pictures and the after pictures of this space. Also, please check out…

  1. You did a great job on that and their GMC conversion! I really like your backstories, too.
